My fist angel is hanging in my room for more than a year (october '19). Last winter I started making them again and decided it would be a nice alternative of a christmas card.

Process
Body
Start with cutting al the robe.
Make the wings, with a piece of leftover make a knot in the middel so everything stays together. Make sure that the end and beginning cross the middle of the wings.
Make a mix of krochmal and water and lay wings in it. let is dry, you could dry it faster with an iron machine (place a paper sheet or cloth inbetween). You could also do it without this step, wings will hang down.
Make a knot on ends of the legs and arms.
Sepparate the robe for the hair until you can’t seppararate it anymore.
Thread the base through the head. If the robe is to big to go through wooden head you could make it smaler, by just separating it.
Make a knot, place the hair inbetween the knot and head and push the head to the knot. Make a new knot underneed the head.
Inbetween the two strings of base you lay the arms, wings and legs. Make sure verything is centered. Knot it double.
Dress
Cut the yarn for the dress. Desside on this point how long you want to have the dress. picture showes 25 cm dress.
Notes that if you will use thinner yarn you're going to need more than 40 peaces.
sepparate the yarn (if it's possible).
Sepparte in two piles, if you use differend collors make sure your spread it even.
Knot the arms under the dress.
Finish the angels by drawing eyes and lips on the wooden head.
Alternetive you could make pants: make a knot in dress, around the ankles.
Cut the hair: make bangs, shorter hair, braids
For these angels of rope I used robe from the "wibra" from a year ago (not avalable in store I went) and yarn of the "blokker" 80% acrylic & 20% wool (100 grams, 170 meter). Wooden head from "pipoos" (panduro) and christmas decorations of "intratuin".
