Matcha Latte

This is my drink when i can't eat in the morning, when i want to relax and in mood of something fluffy.

Quantity

1 glass

Ingredients

2 grams matcha / 2 chaskukus

1 tsp agave syrup / 1 squeeze

130 mL oat milk

2 tbsp water 80°C

Tools

Chasen (bamboo tea wisk)

Chawan (tea bowl)

Chaskaku (bamboo tea spoon)

Fine net strainer

Milk frother (foaming and heating)

(chasen tea wisk shaped dryer)

glass warm water

 

Preparation

Weak your chasen in a glass of warm water, to make it more flexible.

Scoop the match over the fine net strainer in the chawan with the chaskaku. Add half of the water and whisk it foamy with the chasen, while whisking make a W shape not a O shape.

Around same time shake the oat milk, and add it to the milk frother, add agave syrup and turn it on foaming and heating. When the matcha is getting foamy add other half of water. When it is ready, I mostly continue until milk frother is almost finished, add matcha to a glass, pour foamed milk over it. Enjoy warm.

If you make smaller portions for more glasses you could also add foamed matcha to foamed milk and let it mix for a minute.

 

I leaned making this when i followed a workshop at Moychay for the first time.
