Mashed Potatoes

1 kilo

Ingredients

1 kilograms potatoes (soft boiling)

50 grams of butter

1 1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tsp paprika powder

1/4 tsp nutmeg powder

1/2 tsp parsley

1/8 tsp chili powder

Potato masher

Peeler

Pan

Knife


 

Preparation


Peel the potatoes and cut into equal smaller pieces. Rinse them under water to clean them from any leftover dirt. Put the potatoes in a large pan with 1 tbsp of salt and water. Cook them for 15-20 minutes, to check if they're done cooking pierce with a fork in one of the potatoes if this is possible without using much force they're done. turn the heat off and get rid of the water.

Add half of the butter to the cooked potatoes when they are still warm, so the butter will melt al bit. mash the potatoes. Add the leftover butter and salt, paprika powder, nutmeg powder, parsley, and chili powder. mix everything together with a spoon or the potato masher. Make sure you don't have any leftover unmashed potatoes.

It works in most recipes easier when the mashed potatoes are still warm, when they are cold they will become crumbly.
